It has been a while since I typed anything here. Life has been busy with family member's funerals, new dog, a haircolor disaster, and general illness issues. Ah! The busy life of a domestic.
So.
The funeral was beyond expections. It is was tasteful and dignified. Most fitting for Grandfather. I had a better time with the family than before. I guess the husband's family is finally getting use to me.
The hair color disaster was laughable but costly. This event has caused me to reconsider very seriously my outlook on hair coloring. I was lucky that I found a salon that was reasonable in price but had someone talented enough to fix the issue. BUT seriously...the money I spent to fix this would of bought a few things around the house. Maybe it is time to let it go grey. Make a statement on aging by being a young woman with salt in her hair.
The new dog is wonderful. Much different than the chow-chow in personality. But hard headed on house training. Doesn't the dog know that the man of the house doesn't let him out like you should be during house training?
Note: Wife Unit is getting very mad at the Husband Unit for not pulling his fair share in the training of the new dog. More on that later.
So home I am. Tired I am. Okay, nothing new there. I have gotten up, fixed my tea, smoked a few cigs, taken the dogs out to the yard. Came in to discover that the new dog has dropped a poo-bomb downstairs and what next? Oh I am afraid to ask. The computer. I can go sit at the computer and surf for a while. The Day is still young.
I checked out the sites I like to read everyday...nothing caught my eye. I then checked out the news. This picture caught my eye. I decided to sit and look at that for a moment before all the thoughts in my head began to swirl around.
Then I read the words.
Freedom. Go to Hell.
The statement that came to mind was a scarastic "isn't that just nifty. Wonder if his mother knows what he does in his free time.."
Listen, I am not as up on every event that goes on in the world. I have 24 hours a day to take care of what I have choosen to be responsible for, therefore there is not enough time in the day for me to become a world expert on worldy events. But I do pay attention and read up. This picture put me in old lady with a big handbag mode.
So I say this to person who holds that sign. Oh go home. Take your little toys and go back where you came from. Hug your mother and wife, daughter, girlfriend, MiMi, who ever and go home.
You have no idea what you are talking about. To Hell with Freedom. Pish. I am a free woman. I life in a society where freedom is cherished. You are not going to take it away from us. Once you have had the freedom to create, think, read, discuss, and enjoy the fruits of hard working free people who provide services that keep people, like me, in a better quality of life, you will find that it is a very precious thing.
So what if someone publishes something that you find horrific. The first thing you do not do is reach for the fire, firearms, and create mass violence. Good grief, use your head. Those kinds of tactics are reserved for much more dire circumstances than a cartoon you find horrific.
For the love of Mike, you live in a whole world of people who do not share your ideas, values, culture, religon, and food. There is room enough for all of us to do what is right in our hearts.
In the end all you have done is shown us that you are a bunch of hot heads. Hot headed people that take to the streets and forget their manners at home. Your actions are disgraceful and not honorable. You bought right into the mob mentality. That shows you lack the most basic discipline of Freedom. Self Control.
You have destroyed property with no intention of cleaning up and setting it to right and other such actions.
Me. I don't protest that way. I work hard on what I believe in. You see it in my actions, my words, my opinions. Notice, the lack of violence? Start there and you might get farther in this world.
